You are reviewing a very nice 1966 VW Beetle Sedan that I have had since late 80s. It has been completely gone thru in a restoration and resto/custom fashion. The Body: The Body and Pan all match. The car was basically rust free from the South. Painted Porsche Guards Red ( A color my young son selected ). It was totally gutted and painted inside and out, twice! The paint job costs 6k. Complete New Wiring Harness and associated electrical parts updated where I could get them. The car was assembled with stainless steel bolts where stainless replacements would work. The gas tank was acid boiled out and coated with rust prohibitive sealer. The chrome was all replaced with stainless steel versions. The rear drums and brakes were all coated with Por-15 to eliminate future rust. The Interior: The seats are Scat elites and I had Sewfine make a headliner and visors from the same material so it would all match. The inside roof, rear engine area and bottom pan are all sound deadened with Dynomat Extreme. This makes it extremely quiet on the inside and solid. I installed custom indoor/outdoor carpet with edge binding to complete the interior. All metal parts were coated with Por-15 The Engine and Tranny: It has the original 1966 transmission still working great just opened up to accept the larger 1600 dual port engine. The engine was rebuilt and runs fantastic and strong. Tires and Wheels. Real Porsche Fuchs on redrilled new drums. BF Goodrich Tires. Review the photos and let me know if you are interested.
