Car does need some work to put it back on the street, but right now it runs / drives and stops. Car is powered by a 350 Chevy engine with Hedmann headers / HEI ignition / aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold / Carter AFB Carb / Edelbrock Elite series valve covers. The transmission is a TH700R4 overdrive 4-speed automatic transmission with B&M shifter (needs converted to work with the OD) and the rearend is the later model 10-bolt GM with a 3:55 POSI. This 55 has a good frame and decent body. The floorpans have been patched up front, which is pretty typical, but the rest of the pans look factory. The front end is a 1-piece fiberglass flip type that was installed without cutting up the front sub-frame, so you can put factory sheetmetal back on the car if you want with no problem. All of the factory glass is in the car and the windows roll up and down. Windshield and rear window are in good shape, but some of the side glass has hairline cracks. Side glass is reasonably priced though. Interior has new carpet and Bucket seats. HERE IS A LIST OF WHAT THE CAR HAS TO OFFER: - VERY reasonably priced - Car runs / Drives / Stops so if you have it shipped there aren’t any NON-OP fees - Decent body (not perfect…BUT not priced that way either) - Good frame - Trunk is decent except for very rear section has rust / rear cross panel needs replaced ($79 part) - 350 Chevy with 700R4 transmission (motor was rebuilt and has had about 20K miles on it since rebuild – word of mouth – no receipts) - Flip front end is mounted off 2 tabs on the stock front frame rails….Could easily be removed if you want to convert back to stock sheetmetal and sell the fiberglass front end - Car isn’t that far from being ready to hit the streets, and runs and drives and stops as-is - Later model 10-bolt rearend with a 3:55 POSI - Have lots of trim parts /etc that were removed from the car (see pictures)…They are all included - Would make an excellent Gasser / Vintage drag car / Rat rod for cheap / if you want to narrow a '55 this one is priced where you could do that - Has a title and factory VIN tag is on the car and it matches the title (see below for details) STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BID: - Car only has rear brakes / front are stock drum so I planned to convert to disc rather than spend any money on the stock drum brakes / kits are readily available and very reasonably priced - Body mount “pucks” were being replaced, but job wasn’t completed, they are reasonably priced and not that hard to change, I just haven’t had time - Drive shaft needs replaced with a properly built / balanced unit…..since you have the yolk / etc. this should be fairly inexpensive - Last owner signed and dated the title back in 1993.…..No buyer name or price on title..…Some states may require you to pay extra because the title wasn’t processed within a certain time period….Others it’s no problem….Check with your DMV if this is a concern for you BEFORE making an offer. - Fuel tank is included but not installed….car is running on an improvised 1 gallon tank LOOK THE PICTURES OVER CAREFULLY, THEY PRETTY MUCH TELL THE STORY.
