1966 Pontiac TRUE GTO Hardtop Listed At No Reserve - 5 Day Auction - Sold To The Highest Bidder A True 1966 Pontiac GTO Hardtop Factory 4 Speed, Documented thru Pontiac Historic Services. Owned by the second owner since 1973. Spent most of it's life in Southern California. It sat in the owner's driveway for many years with the intenion on restoring it back one day. A lot of guys came over the years knocking on his door trying to purchase it but the answer was always "No" until recently... ________________________________________ Pontiac has original body panels, The original color combo was a Marine Turquise with with a black vinly top & black interior, currently has a older repaint to white. Has a few typical rust spots as you can see in the pics on the body & the worst spot would be on the rear driver side pillar. floors are original & in clean shape. Engine is a 400 WT block, & was told came from a 68 GTO - Factory options include Rally Gauge & Tachometer & 4 Speed transmission & still remains original console & original Pontiac shifter knob. GTO was sitting in the owners driveway since 2003 so recently i had the Holly carb rebuilt put a new master cylinder & poured some fresh gas & it started up. Engine does runs/drives & does not make any knock or ticking noises but engine is tired out. Gto Brakes & 4 speed shifts into all gears. Lights work, all glass is in good shape & windows roll up & down. Interior is in good shape with no dash cut outs or speaker holes. Original radio was replaced but radio hole is original & was never cutout. Keep in mind Gto is a project & with some cosmetic work can be a driver or ready to be restored.
