. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. Up for sale is my 01 Dodge Dakota Quad cab. The truck has been parked for the past year, the truck started running rough i.e. the transmission would not shift into high gear and it was running sluggish from low compression in some of the cylinders. I believe it will need a new transmission and at the minimum a valve job on both heads, but I think to do it right it will need a total rebuild. Oddly the check engine light is not on so I can't get a code for the transmission and engine problems, but I want to fully disclose those issues, I do not want someone purchasing the truck and expecting to get in and drive away because that isn't going to happen. The truck does currently run but like I said it runs very poorly and to all California residents this truck will NOT PASS SMOG. Before I experienced these problems I had the tie rod ends, ball joints and upper and lower control arm bushings replaced along with the hubs, I also installed a new alternator about 5,000 miles before the engine and transmission problems. The interior of the truck is very nice no tears in the carpets, the front and back seats are in nice condition. The tires are nearly bald and one of the wheels does not match the others. The body of the truck has dings and fading. The passenger side door has a big scratch in it that I discovered one morning while leaving for work. The front and rear bumper have dents. The grille is a custom chrome one but I do have the stock grille in excellent condition (it comes with the truck). The truck bed lining is peeling. All the glass is good. The truck is manual windows and door locks. The truck has air conditioning. The CD player isn't currently working. The truck is sold as is where is.
