Vehicle Detail
1973 Suzuki TS 400 I just listed this, and it sold, but the buyer DID NOT PAY. Please have the common decency to bid only if you plan to be a reasonable person and hold up your end of the bargain. Thanks. This motorcycle has been converted from the original dual sport type to strictly offroad. You get a combination of the predictable, usable power of the TS 400 engine and ignition (not the terror of the TM 400), and the rugged simplicity of an offroad bike. Mileage is unknown, but I am required to enter a number. Over the past year, this great vintage two-stroke has had the following upgrades: New Mikuni carb ($140)NOS throttle body ($35)New front tire ($50,back tire is decent)New clutch, brake and throttle cables ($100)NOS Redwing shocks ($180)New FMF exhaust ($200) Part of the sprocket cover is broken off, I assume due to a thrown chain at some time before I owned it. It's a minor esthetic issue, but is of no functional concern. Many people cut them out to prevent mud build-up, anyway. This bike has a separate two-stroke oil reservoir, so you don't have to pre-mix. The oil pump works great. The bike always starts in 1-3 kicks. It's reliable. It runs great. It's very strong and fast, but will happily idle right up a hill, too. It's just a fun, easy, vintage dirt bike. Sale will include the size large vintage Suzuki jersey seen worn in the photo. This would be a great AHRMA race bike, or a super trail bike, as I've been using it. I don't have the title, never have. I only ride it offroad. I've got too many dirt bikes, and this one doesn't get ridden often enough, so it needs a new home. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs, but I'm happy to work with a hauler of the buyer's choice.
