Vehicle Detail
1961 BMW R69S. Dover White. This is a very rare and excellently restored R69S. The “hot” BMW motorcycle of the 1960s was the 600cc, high-compression (9.5:1) R69S. With 42 horsepower, the R69S has 40% more horsepower than the R60/2 and 62% more power than an R50/2. That makes a substantial difference felt readily when riding one. The bike is painted Dover white with black pinstriping, the most popular special color of that period ordered instead of black with white pinstriping. The bike has Hella bar-end turn signals and a Pagusa solo saddle. Matching numbers. Correct details on plating, polishing and paint. Stored indoors. Bike starts and runs fine. There is a small chipped paint area on the fuel tank and some surface scratches on the right turn signal and right cylinder. See pictures. Tons of restoration records and receipts. Comes with original manuals and tool kit. Buyer arranges and pays for shipping.
