Car was originally purchased from a salvation Army auction for total price of 1100. Auctioneer stated car had been sitting since 2007. Took car home cleaned out fuel tank and blew clean fuel pump and fuel filter. After putting new gas in it, started right up. Ran rough at first. Opened hood and found that vacuum lines were cut. Bought Haynes manual , re-ran vacuum lines as best could figure and vehicle now runs properly, albeit at 1250rpm idle instead of 750 rpm idle. During normal driving it drives and shifts correctly. Have not addressed timing or points at time of post. Not a mechanic, nor familiar with mercedes, so vehicle is as is. Exterior: Has surface rust on hood near headlights on both sides, has deeper but still surface rust at door handles, has rot that needs to be addressed at rear taillights, has rot on driver side floor pan that needs to be addressed. However, overall body condition is good; true lines , no evidence of previous wrecks , substructure strong with minor surface rust All chrome and exterior parts appear to be present and in good condition including bumpers and rubber attachments. Interior: Driver seat has small tear and mal-ajusted bracket. Two cracks on dash. Overall condition of interior is really good. All parts appear to be there except a door threshold cover on driver side. Engine: has an oil leak I am unable to locate- I think it's at a cover on the top. But drives and runs okay.
