1968 Chevrolet Camaro California Car.12437 Sport Coupe This 1968 Camaro runs and drive excellent. It accelerates smoothly and does not shimmy, shake, or vibrate while driving. Much work has been done in the last 15,000 miles including the following: Engine rebuild, transmission rebuild, all brake drums and shoes, axles, bearings, ball joints, bushings, windshield, and window tint. Engine is a small block 327 with an Edelbrock aluminum intake with a Holley carb mounted up top, backed by a 2 speed powerglide transmission and a stock 10 bolt rearend. Other preventative maintenance service has also been performed such as regular oil changes and other fluid services. It does have minor smoke on start up. It also includes power steering and manual brakes. Most likely due to valve guide clearance. Once the car warms-up , guides expand and smoke dissipates. All other mechanicals are other wise working smoothly. This Camaro rolls on American Racing wheels, and the BF Goodrich tires have 10/32 of tread left (Like New!!!). 235/60/14 in front and 245/60/14 on the rear. All gauges are in good working order. Headlights, high beams, signals, and wipers all work! The body was painted black with a slight green pearl clearcoat in 1999 and is straight with a few scratches on the front bumper. It does have a few very minor dents (please see photos), but nothing that can't be expected for a 14 year old paint job. There are couple of small rust bubbles around the rain gutter and rear windows, but nothing is rusted through. All other panels, doors, quarter panels, fenders, hood, firewall, floor pan, and trunk are solid and is all original sheetmetal (no replacement panels). The interior is in great shape. Headliner is not sagging and has no air bubbles. The carpets have no wear or fading. As far as upholstery goes, the rear seats have slight aging simply from passenger use. The front seats are newer and are on sliding tracks. Hood, trunk, and all doors open and close nicely. Windows work good. All glass and trim are in good condition, however it is missing the rear window trim. It is not a show car, but is an excellent driver quality car. Please look at all the photos before bidding.
