Before I tell you about the car itself here is the scoop about its fame. This wonderful little Chevy has been owned for the last 7 years by renowned motion picture title designer& director Dan Perri of Star Wars fame. Dan is currently in production on the mafia feature film Sharkskin. The Chevy will be seen in the movie on the famous CBS New York Street set in Studio City, California. I have worked on this film myself and it is exciting and sure to be wonderful with Dan Perri directing. I HAVE LISTED ANOTHER ONE OF DAN PERRI'S CARS FROM SHARKSKIN THE MOVIE IT'S A 1946 CHEVROLET 1/2 TON ART DECO ERA PICK UP TRUCK IF IT HAS NOT ALREADY SOLD. BUY THEM BOTH AND HAVE THE PAIR! This is a sweet solid rust free car other then minor surface rust on a few spots. It could use a polishing of the paint job. It comes with it's set of extremely difficult to find and very valuable original and correct wheels. The interior is a nice redo but shows some wear and the headliner has water stains. Current owner since 2005. Prior history unknown. Mostly stock unmodified condition with a few exceptions. It has a cassette player and it is operational with a 6v-12v power inverter. The engine and drive train is stock and in good working order. The engine runs smoothly on all 6 cylinders (seems to be a 207 cid but unverified) and does not smoke or seem to be burning any oil. It idles nice mostly and does not click or clatter nor make and mechanical valve or rod noises. The car starts, runs, drives on the freeway, and is in basic driver condition. It will need basic maintenance services and has a freshly overhauled carburetor. The clutch is ok and does not slip. The brake system is in working order but I have not pulled the wheels and drums to do an inspection. It stops ok as a 1936 would be expected to. It has a period correct heater and it actually functions. The windshield wiper is not working. It has turn signals and they do work but rear only. The lights are working. All the windows roll up and down. The locks and keys work. The instruments are in working order except for the fuel which is always on about 1/2 for some unknown reason. It has great oil pressure. The exhaust system is in ok condition and the engine sounds quiet so no exhaust leaks. The mechanical fuel pump on the engine is working and has also an electric 6 volt pusher pump on the fuel line. This car is ready to be driven for fun. It could be kept totally stock or modified into a cool restomod. I am open to any and all questions. I tried to take pictures to show as much as possible so what you see is what you get. I have put a reasonable reserve on this vehicle. Please do not ask what my reserve is. The purpose of the hidden reserve is self explanatory. The winning bidder will have to pay a $500.00 NON refundable deposit within 24hrs of auction close. Full payment due within 72hrs. If you wish to leave the vehicle with me for longer then 7 days total after auction close storage can be arranged for $50 per day. PayPal accepted or cash only.
