I think the jeep is a 1956 but not for sure, I found the jeep in a barn where the owner let it set for years. The last time the jeep has been own the road was 1987. The guy I bought it off of said it was a 1948 and gave me a title for a 1948. He had it registered as a 1948 he said. I don't really know so when you buy you will get a title for a 1948. The jeep runs and drives, put new plugs, wires, distributor, points, rotor, condensor, battery, and fuel pump and it started up. The jeep runs and does not smoke. The transmission and transfer case work good. The master cylinder for the brakes needs to be replaced, all the rubber pieces dry rotted. The muffler has a hole in it. The body does have some rust, the floor pans have a hole in them. The tires were brand new but the are weather cracked, they all still hold air. The old man said that he just drove the jeep in the parades. The jeep will run and drive but will still need some work to get it back on the road. For more info call 903-450-3041
