This 1982 FJ40 was purchased new in San Jose, California and spent 148K of its' 154K in the San Jose area The owner preferred the earlier style wheels and had the dealer switch them out prior to taking delivery. This was a one owner vehicle prior to me purchasing it in November of this past year. The previous owner took meticulous care of this FJ40. The truck was never used off road and has been garaged its entire life. Several years prior to me purchasing it, the previous owner had the exterior professionally resprayed the correct Mustard Yellow. The interior paint is original and like the exterior, is virtually flawless. The wheels were recently powder coated and fitted with BF Goodrich All Terrain TA (31X10.50R15LT). The tires are new (less than 500 miles of use). The WARN CE XD9000 Winch is new and has never been used. The truck has been fitted with new turn signals, hub caps, hood latches, and halogen headlights. All of the original emissions equipment is intact and is functioning properly. All of the original decals on the underside of the hood are still in place. The truck passed California emissions approximately 7,000 miles ago and would have no problem passing today. There is no rust anywhere. I have been all over this truck and found no signs of rust other than very minimal surface rust on the undercarriage. The truck drives extremely tight and is mechanically perfect. There are no fluid leaks that I am aware of, nor are there any mechanical or cosmetic issues that need addressing. Every light and buzzer works as it is supposed to. The original headliner is flawless as are the front seats and rear jump seats. The original front and rear floor mats are excellent. The original jack and tools are in place as they were when delivered new. Other than one very very small chip in the windshield, all of the original glass is perfect. The truck has the pop out rear side windows. This vehicle needs nothing. This is not an "over restored" FJ40. This is an extremely clean original that has been meticulously cared for since new. I have set a very reasonable reserve. There is no "buy it now" price.
