Vehicle Detail
With a little time and TLC, this could be a great car. This car was driven daily, 128 miles a day, until November when I was involved in a bad motorcycle accident. I am taking this down time to search for something more family friendly and comfortable. I bought the car from a friend's towing company in order to get back and forth to work when my van died. The odometer discrepancy listed in the history is simply due to the fact that when my friend's towing company supplied paperwork for a legal title, the dmv made him select "not actual" for the mileage because he was not the legal owner of the car at the time and could not attest to it being actual. I am convinced that the mileage is accurate, and you will be too once you drive the car. It is mechanically sound, engine and tranny, and runs/drives very well. The body is great and has no major blemishes, except for a chunk missing from driver mirror. Paint is typical for a car it's age with peeling clear coat on the poly pieces. The interior is in rough shape due to the previous owner, who tore the stereo/speakers out when he learned he was losing the car. It has a few burn holes in seats, broken door panels, carpet is rough, and headliner is missing. I have nicer seats from a Camaro as well as various interior panels and a better carpet, all of which are included in the sale. I also have another driver side door and window glass, also included in the sale. The car has a manual window on the driver side, and a power window on the passenger side, although the window motor is weak. I was going to replace the passenger side with a manual regulator, which I found plenty of on eBay for around $50-$60, just never got around to it. The windshield needs replacing due to a large crack in the driver's line of sight. I priced the windshield at $175 installed at a discount auto glass place in Richmond, VA. The ABS light is on due to a faulty ABS unit. The brakes work fine, just not the anti-lock feature. I priced the necessary part at a local junkyard at $65. The only other problem is that the AC needs freon. The compressor is good, but the low freon pressure switch keeps it from kicking on until it is charged. I have tried to show as much as I can in the pics and will provide more if you want to see anything in particular. Please contact me with any questions or offers.
