We are proud to offer this excellent build opportunity for the serious corvette enthusiast. This listing is for a frame up rebuild of a 66 Corvette Coupe. We are listing this on behalf of a fellow firefighter who is an all around car enthusiast with an emphasis on Corvettes. Special consideration: On this particular car, the owner has, but is keeping, the body for another project he is working on so he will be keeping the title. As I understand it, the title stays with the body - not the frame/chassis/engine - so you will be getting the title from whatever body you use for this frame. The current title is clear and this is not a salvage or brand and documentation will be provided to support the fact that this frame has not been damaged. This is a 66 original Corvette Coupe Frame and Chassis. There was little to no rust on the frame originally as it had been garage kept for the twenty years prior to, and since, the build up when it was stripped, sandblasted, rewelded and painted with a beautiful semi-gloss black epoxy. There is absolutely NO RUST on this as it sits today. It features an all new suspension with polyurethane bushings and ball joints. More features of this build: New high end Bilstein gas shocks. New Steering Gear Box New Rear Mono - Fiberglass Leafspring (with original one available) New Rear U - Joints & Bushings New Brakes & Rotors New Rear End (what guy doesn't want that?) 1967 327 High Performance Chevy Engine - Quad-Dratec (spelling?) Carb (both clean as whistle) Muncie 4 Speed Manual Transmission - M21 Gear Box New Axle Bearings & Trailing Arms Goodyear Eagle GT 255/60/15 Tires (approximately 60-70% treadwear life left) Also available: Original air duct, steering column, hood, seats and other misc. parts. In summation, this is a really great deal for someone looking to build up a Corvette with a major portion of the hassle having been taken out of the project for you. The owner of this project is a firefighter, personally known for over 15 years...he is meticulous in his care for all vehicles that are entrusted to him both for our department and in every personally owned vehicle I have seen in his shop. The owner is listing through us because he does not wish to have any traffic on his property so inspection will be on delivery. There will be no exception to this. Interested has been expressed on why the owner wanted to separate a chassis and body with matching numbers, the owner advised that he is keeping the body (to which the title is attached and already registered and already has a lot of money in upgrades invested in) to do a restoration modification (this is similar to what Bear Garcia does) and he has already purchased the upgraded aftermarket frame and engine so he is no longer in need of this one. He advised he could have kept this one and modified it to what he wanted but it would be more time consuming and less cost efficient than if he just bought what he wanted straight out and sold this as a rolling chassis. He understands the loss of intrinsic value but is less interested in having matching numbers on a car than having the car the way he wants it. We are a trusted seller and just recently sold a high end chopper via eBay with positive feedback received. We are not requiring a deposit on this BUT payment will not be accepted via Paypal due to the excessive fees involved. We will accept cash or bank drawn cashier's check.
