1949 Chevrolet 5 window truck 32,940 miles! We are having to relist this truck becuase it just fell short of reserve.... You're looking at a true survivor that has all original glass, working heater, original seating, steering wheel, working lights and signals, original headliner and gauges and she runs and drives fantastic. We wanted to keep this truck as original as possible so we did several things to ensure she was ready for the road. The original frame is in superb condition and the body is very solid. We scraped and brushed the frame anyway and gave it a nice coat of undercoating. We flushed and replaced all the coolant. We flushed and replaced all the engine oil. We removed the original fuel tank and decided to install a brand new one with new hoses and clamps for saftey and always fresh fuel. We had an old friend give her a tune up with new plugs, points and wires. We added a fresh battery that was already set for twelve volts. We heard some slight grinding from the left front wheel so we pulled both sides apart - had the drums cut, purchased new 12 x 2 brake shoes, added new brake cylinders while in there, fresh seals and grease and all new brake fluid. We used the original 4 x 6 inch solid wood bed framework and custom built a nice looking farm hauling bed. We purchased some very old barn wood and made the stake sides look nice. It has the original straight six and didnt want to modify anything under the hood because she starts on the first turn and runs so well. This is a great solid truck that can be left as is or modified more to your liking. She is an 8 lug 1-ton 3800 farmers truck that is really cool and in unbelievable condition for her age. There are not many farm trucks left out there that are in this good of condition. I have the option to cancel bids from buyers out of the United states. There is NO shipping for this item - pick up only. The odometer, heat and speedometer do function. We had her cruising at 60 miles per hour in 4th gear. I really do think the miles are actual. The frame and underbody suspension are so solid and free of any rust or rot we think she sat in a protected area for alot of years. I wanted to add that if it wasn't obvious in the pictures that we added brand new stainless wheel trim rings, new chrome lug nuts, new padded aluminum floor sound deadning material, new rubber flooring, new chrome exhaust tips, new chrome carburator filter top, new fuel tank sending unit, new fuel line and couplers, new fuel filter and new stainless mirror heads...
