1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo This car still has the “new car smell”. I’m the Original California owner of this wonderfully maintained 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with 20,550 original miles. It’s 100% stock, no modifications, no accidents. My wife drove this car for 2 years and then it was parked. It has been on non-op status since then and stored in our garage. Some of the features are: Silver Metallic exterior with Maroon interior. Rare Column Shift and 6 way power 60/40 split front bench seat with folding armrest Power door locks, power window, power trunk opener, rear window defogger, twin remote sport mirrors, upgraded AM/FM Stereo with Scan and Seek, cassette player, graphic equalizer, dual front speakers and digital clock. Original P215/65R-15 tires on original aluminum rims. Original 5.0L (305 CID) 4BBL V8 H.O. (High Output) engine, with 4 speed automatic transmission, and 3.73 gears. All original paperwork , including the window sticker, delivery paperwork and owner’s manual included as part of the purchase. When the car was 4 months old, it was repainted base coat/clear coat and the stripes were removed (I didn’t like them). They are available to purchase from Original Parts Group. The air doesn’t work as a seal gave out and here in California the original R12 is not available. The tail pipe needs to be replaced, it has rusted from lack of use. I chose to not detail the engine bay, as I do not believe in steam cleaning the engine compartment, I gave it a quick once over to remove the thick layer that had settled on it, all the dirt and dust is just on the surface from being stored.
