1989 MERCEDES BENZ 300 SE Excellent Condition, One Owner, Low Miles, LOW RESERVE ! Fully Serviced & Maintained TURNKEY Needs Nothing ! Offered for sale is an excellent condtion, original, low mileage Mercedes that has had only one owner and spent its entire life in dry Southern California. Original paint finished in light metallic grey (Code 040 Anthrazitgrau Metallic) with a stunning flawless grey leather interior, and perfect grey carpets. The dash and wood trim are like new, all gauges work, original Becker Grand Prix radio works along with the speakers and casette player. Sound quality is excellent. Air conditioner works excellent and blows cold air. All power accessories (seats, sunroof, windows, door locks) all function properly. All interior and exterior lights are properly working. Vehicle is equipped with optional factory chrome alloy wheels in excellent condition. Original Mercedes list price in 1989 was $51,400. This car has 114,582 miles (very low for the age). It was garage kept with excellent original paint and leather interior. Vehicle has a clear California title (not salvage or other, and registration paid to October 2013 including current DMV license plate tags. This car was just serviced by a master Mercedes mechanic. The valve cover and cam cover gaskets were replaced and the engine is free of leaks. It was steam cleaned and detailed by my mechanic. Equipped with an inline 6 cylinder engine, 3 liter 181 cubic inches (177 horsepower), with 4 speed automatic with overdrive (shifts perfect, no leaks, no issues), rear wheel drive. Excellent fuel economy (17 city, 19 highway). These older S class Mercedes (W126 model) are the last of the hand built Mercedes. They are collectibles and will likely increase in future value. Solid as a tank, built to last, properly maintained they last forever. The fuel injected engine with a cast iron block (one of the sturdiest Mercedes built) will easily go up to 500,000 miles. Items that were replaced include: new starter, alternator, battery, tires, brakes, exhaust including muffler and resonator (only Mercedes OEM parts), and fuel pump. Car was aligned and tracks straight and stops on a dime. Car is turnkey, all work and service having been done, ready for years of reliable driving. This Mercedes in nearly perfect with the exception of three items: there is a tiny ding on the left side of the trunk lid (hardly noticeable), a very small rust spot at the bottom right of the rear windshield (the size of a pencil eraser), and a minor scratch on the right door that was recently touched up and polished (extremely hard to even see. Please note this Mercedes is 25 years old and not showroom perfect. It has been maintained, serviced and repaired during its life. There will be normal wear and tear.
