Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 2001 Volvo V70 T5 2.3L 2319CC l5 GAS DOHC Turbocharged 4 Door Wagon. The car is sold as is due to the fact that the car has no keys and has known issues with the transmission and parts of the electrical system. Up until the point that the keys were lost, the car was drivable in manual mode and could be shifted past 3rd gear and straight into 4th gear. The known problem with the transmission is that the transmission no longer engages into 3rd gear. The car has a trip-tronic like transmission, so it can be manually shifted from 2nd gear to 4th gear. The known problem with the electrical system is that the headlight controller no longer works. The headlights are constantly on when the car is on and cannot be turned off. The interior lighting is dimmed in all locations except the gauge cluster lighting. The keys for the vehicle were lost 3+ months ago, and because of such, the car has not been started in 3+ months, therefore, there may be other issues with the car that are unknown at this time. The car has new studded winter tires with less than 2500 miles on them. The car is being sold strictly as-is with no warranty, and is being sold as-is due to the fact that it cannot be started because of a lack of a key and known issues. With that said, the engine was completely rebuilt (new timing / new water pump, new gaskets, seals, etc.) at 109,000 miles as per factory recommendation, the transmission was flushed and the software was upgraded at 135,000 miles, then reflushed and reprogrammed at 145,00 miles, at which time the transmission started showing signs of issues. 3rd gear quit engaging at 149,000 miles or thereabout and has not been driven too long since having issues. The mileage as listed is a close estimate of the actual mileage. The exact actual mileage cannot be determined at this time due to the fact that the car cannot be started to display exact mileage. The car is being sold for local pick-up. The buyer must arrange all shipping and / or transportation arrangements. The body of the car is in good condition, the interior of the car is in good condition, though a little dirty from sitting for 3+ months. This would be a great parts car for someone with a similar Volvo or a great project car for someone who is mechanically inclined.
