I am selling my dads baby. He owned this car for 26 years before passing away in 2012. During that 26 years it has been driven approximately 2000 miles. It was taken for regular short drives for most of that time. While he was in bad health it sat for the last year with a partial tank of that nice ethanol mix fuel, which means I had to replace the fuel tank, fuel filler pipe, most of the fuel line, fuel pump, and rebuild the carb to get it running last month. It starts right up, runs great, and sounds awesome with the dual exhausts. The car is mostly original, with what original parts were replaced being included in the sale. I know that the hood was replaced before my dad bought it, as the underside is red with a black, rubber-like coating. It has a rally pac installed that came with the original purchase in 1986, but not with the car when new. The only clean up we did was to wash it and vacuum it out- no attempt was made to polish up the paint or clean the engine- better to sell it as is. It was stored for most of that 26 years in its own garage, with the last few years being under a carport. We have mild dry weather here, so it is well preserved. The body is straight, with just a few small nicks and scrapes. There are two rust spots, each in the back quarter panels right behind the wheel well- a common place for these to rust. Neither is more than a couple of square inches.The floor panels are intact. It still has some bias-ply tires on it that hold air, but I wouldn't plan to drive very far on them. It also needs a brake job. It comes with a later model under-dash a/c, that is not installed. It appears all a/c parts are there except for hoses/connections. The interior is great, with one small crack in the dash. Everything works, right done to the heater controls and fan. The original radio is still in the dash, but an aftermarket radio has been installed under the dash and is wired in. To help decrease any apprehension- if you are not satisfied when you view the car in person after the sale, I will let you out of the contract, but you will forfeit the deposit to cover my Ebay fees. Additional info- I have already had numerous calls about the floor pans, frame rails, and trunk interior- they are all intact, have never been replaced, and have only minor surface rust that I can see- no holes, breaks, or cracks.
