My girlfriend says it's got to go. I had hoped to make a project of it, but after four years I guess I need to let that dream go. Generally very solid, bed wood in great condition, no off-shore steel as far as I can tell. Easiest I think to simply disclose what I know is wrong, the carb has some sag on acceleration unless the manual choke is activated slightly, front windows need help going up and down (need lube) rear windows are good, typical rust at bottom of upper tailgate, rockers, windshield eyebrow, door sills and right front door hinge. Seat vinyls are very bad, aftermarket covers on for now, bed wood is soiled but in great condition, windshield is cracked, needs wipers, a/c and heater are disconnected. Some ancient bondo in a couple places, but very salvageable and no junk. Also, paint looks very glossy in the pics because it had just rained. it's decent, but not shiny. it's mostly all orginal so weatherstrips etc. all showing ages and failure. Just tuned it up, new plugs, points, fuel pump, fan belt. Still it's a great base for a restoration project, or simply a surf wagon for many years before that project starts. Engine sounds good, transmission and differential work fine, shifter is stiff, needs to be disassembled and cleaned, much of it is original paint. Dash is in great shape, radio holes are intact. I took it as trade for work at my auto shop 4 years ago and there it sat until now. Clean title, tags good 'till April. Get it while it's hot!
