Vehicle Detail
Here is one 1967 VW Beetle that would be a perfect candidate for a restoration. This car is almost completely rust free and does not have any structural rust. The only rust I could find is at the bottom of the battery box and some around the brake fluid reservoir. The odometer shows 87,685 miles. I cannot guarantee that this is the actual total miles as I do not have any other mileage history. Overall it is in good condition for its age and is a daily driver. I am not sure what engine it has as some things do not look stock. It has dual port heads and a single barrel carburetor, 009 distributor, UNI air filter, Bosch blue coil, timing wheel lower pulley, etc. The body is very straight with very little damage or dents. The interior looks to be original and is in OK condition with only a few small rips. The carpets are in good condition. It has KYB gas shocks in the front and coil-over spring shock in the rear. The rear rims are slightly wider then the front. New battery just installed. Included with the car is a set of pop-out rear side windows that are complete with all the hardware. I believe these are original to the car as the windows in there now are much newer. These are in good condition except the rubber is pretty old. Here are the flaws that I could find:Small hole under the battery boxDrivers door outside handle does not open the door, the inside handle doesParking brake inoperative, one cable is brokenHeater is not hooked up, air ducts from engine not installedSeals around back of the engine tray deterioratedWipers inoperative (motor)Stereo doesn't have any speakers installed, it turns on. Surface rust around brake fluid reservoir Front bumper slightly bentPlease look at all the pictures as I tried to represent the car to the best of my ability.
