Vehicle Detail

Daily driven classic Mercedes Benz. I brought this car up from Louisiana, and before that it spent it's life in California until 2008. Great cruiser, loves the highway bigtime. Cruises all day long, gets 26-30 miles per gallon while doing it too. Does not smoke like some of these I've seen. Have service receipts going back to 2003, documenting mileage along the way. This car has been loved with some new parts, mostly since 2005, with many new parts less than 8K miles old (new front calipers, tie rod, AC compressor, AC servo, AC dryer and pressure switch among the newer parts). I installed a brand new set of white wall tires over the summer, they have less than a 1000 miles on them. Matching hubcaps are all in nice shape too! Climate control works great, just set the temp you want. Firm transmission shifts are great, smooth strong acceleration with no strange noises, no pulling and tracks straight. The paint shines but has a some dents in it that are hard to show up in pictures. If you want a show car this isn't it, but it isn't ugly either! Chrome is great as are all the trim pieces around the car. Interior wood has some wear but not too bad, driver seat has a rip (see picture). Driver side power window doesn't work, I think it's the switch but I never bothered. All the rest work. Exhaust pipe and muffler are in great shape too. No rust, (I hate rust, that's why I got it from Louisana) but it does have some paint bubbles right next to the fuel door, and the paint just in front of the hood is slightly faded, but easily fixed with an inexpensive sanding and respray. Again, not a show car but those are a lot more expensive. Overall a really cool car to drive and enjoy everyday for not a lot of money. Again, service reciepts go to back to 2003 in California until 2006 showing many replaced parts and oil changes, not something you see often! I'd drive her anywhere, I've had it going for hours in hot weather and now in the cold and she loves the road. Starts right up cold or hot and shuts down when you ask too (unlike some unloved diesels). All lights and bulbs work. Comes with a set of 14x7 chrome bundts too (without the tires).
