This is a 1990 VW Cabriolet Convertible Karmann. My kids and I purchased it about 8 months ago to restore as a project together. In the last 8 months we have installed a completly different interior: near new seats (salvage yard) all new carpeting, all new door panels new windshield a set of near new tires from a local shop that upgrades rims and has take offs from new cars. We purchased the car because it has zero rust on its body!! All the others we looked at had rusted doors and fenders. The car was driven from Kansas to Southern California. We are at the point of redoing the engine (YES IT RUNS) , but we have the opportunity to purchase a 1967 VW Convertible. So we are selling this one to fund the purchase of that car. Known Issues: Paint is half white primer and gloss. there is only ONE ding in the car!! The engine needs to have the valves adjusted (you can hear a ticking when running) It needs a tune up and idle control valve (idle fluctuates 660-1200 and back down) Small tear in top in two places (see photos) This car was purchased because I felt it would make a great car for my teenage children. With a little work this car can be one find looker. There is NO RESERVE as we need the money ASAP or we will lose the other VW.
