This is an amazing very orginal Sierra Yellow 1972 VW Campmobile Westfalia I would not hesitate to drive this bus across the country, and only wish I had the time to do so. Exterior is in its proper restored condition absolute no blemishes near show car quality. This is the absolute nicest bus I have ever come across outside of a car show. Rock solid all the way around with no rust anywhere. High level professional paint applied with nos vw 'sierra orange' paint 3 years ago still looks stunning. Engine has always had two carbs, all original to this very bus and over $750 was just spent a few weeks ago on the motor to change seals and tune everything up to just about perfect. Starts up in below freezing no hesitation and was driven over 500 miles last week. No heat mind you, it was a cold ride :) this bus keeps up with modern traffic under any conditions. Interior is 80% original with respects of the front seats and jump seat vinyl being replacements. I will add that the seats are actually very comfortable! (especially vs vw seats o_O) No issues to replace the seats once you source them. The top canvas is brand new though in a bag. You likely noticed the later model top, came from a 74 bus and is in excellent shape. This top allow for a full bed above instead of just a childs hammock. I can inlude a childs hammock if you intend to put the earlier top on it. The canvas and hardware will need to be done to finish this bus completely. The interior has been pretty well preserved but not restored yet to the standard of the exterior. Original is perferred and the interior is very original. It would not take much to get this bus to restored status once the interior is tidied up. The original owners manual and original service records from 72 thru 74 were still in the bus when I got it and come with!! The bus was bought at Sunland Motors VW and Porsche in NV back in 1972 by a gentleman in the USAF living at Nellis AFB. His information will be included to develop an awesome history of the bus. All lights blinkers and horn works as it should. Absolute problem free classic driver. I would prefer local sale as it would be great to see it around in the future and anyone able to see the bus in person will truly be able to appreciate the condition it is in. With that said I will cooperate with distant buyers to help get it shipped once full payment is made. I will store the bus for up to 30 days after sale to help get it moved but plan to charge for storage 10/day afterward. I'm more than reasonable and will likely work something out if the buyer is doing all they can however. The bus is sold as-is. I will also include an original Coleman gas camping stove that was made in the 70's for the whole experience. The grill is in great working order annd I used it all last summer with no concern.
