78 Avanti 2 Built by Avanti Motors South Bend, Odometer shows 2000 miles= Milage Unknown? If you are a Purist Please stop reading. If you are looking for a clean, fast example of 60's muscle car years continue reading. This is a nice hot rod which I love driving, but I have 2 so this one needs a home. Considered an amateur restoration on this car It is far from perfect, but a 10 from 10 feet away. The body is straight, clean.Engine starts ,Idles,runs Excellent. Drives straight down the road,stops fine, Excellerates Excellent! It is a joy to Drive. One of about 160 built in 1978 with silver anniversary corvette power factory installed. nice rechromed bumpers,headlight trim. In the past 2 years I have replaced ,rebuilt most of the mechanicals. Radiator,water pump,steering accuator,steering pin,carburetor,plugs,cap rotor,master cylinder porportion valve,brake lines rear,front calipers/pads all 4 shocks,Tires. Mufflers and exhaust. Relocated the battery to the trunk. Interior: Tan seats black carpet. door panels and seats were done ,look nice but amateur restoration.AmFm stereo 4 speakers Auto trans with console shift. seat belts F/R Body Troughs under doors have been repaired nicely. New sheet metal boxes were Installed after removing old metal. Doors open close good. Paint is fair, has a few areas which need repair, nice from 10 feet. I can send pic's of entire car.
