E-MAILS WILL BE ANSWERED IN A TIMELY MANNER, BUT IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION THAT CAN’T WAIT, CALL MY CELL @ (217) 779-6309 AND ASK FOR CRAIG 1955 Chevy 210 2 door sedan that looks like the car form American Grafitti. Car does need some work to put it back on the street, but it comes with a lot of parts, including a rebuilt 350 Chevy engine with new Hedmann headers an HEI ignition aluminum Edelbrock intake with Carter AFB Carb and Edelbrock Elite series valve covers. The transmission is a TH700R4 overdrive transmission and the rearend is the later model 10-bolt GM instead of the original style that were prone to failure. This 55 has a good frame and body. The floorpans have been patched up front, which is pretty typical. The front end is a 1-piece fiberglass flip type with a custom made hood scoop. All of the factory glass is in the car and the windows roll up and down. Windshield and rear window are in good shape. Interior has new carpet and Bucket seats. Tires are decent and the car has American Racing Aluminum wheels on all 4 corners. To hit the streets this car does of course still need work, but it’s not really that far away from being on the road again. Car would also make an excellent Gasser or Vintage Drag Car. HERE IS A LIST OF WHAT THE CAR HAS TO OFFER: - Decent body - Good frame - Trunk is decent except for rear panel - 350 Chevy with 700R4 transmission (motor was rebuilt and had about 20K miles on it since rebuild)……Hasn’t run in about 2 years, but should be good to go with probably just a carb. Rebuild. Transmission was also working fine when removed from another car to be put in this car. - Flip front end is mounted off 2 tabs on the stock front frame rails….Could easily be removed if you want to convert back to stock sheetmetal and sell the fiberglass front end - Car has a title and really isn’t that far from being ready to hit the track or streets. - Later model 10-bolt rearend - Have lots of trim parts /etc that were removed from the car (see pictures)…They are all included - Not that far from being on the road again - Would make an excellent Gasser / Vintage drag car / Rat rod for cheap - Car has been off the road for about 20 years….So it’s time for someone to finish it up and get it running again. - I do have the front bumper for the car...the chrome is shot, but it could be painted or powdercoated and used. (I just forgot to put it in the pictures) STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BID: - Front floorpans have been patched (rest of F/P are not bad) - Steering is sloppy, but it looks like it’s all where the Pitman arm goes into the draglink, so should be an easy fix - Master cylinder is there, but brakes need re-plumbed to both the front and back - Some of the side glass is cracked (pretty typical) - Was told that motor and transmission are good and have been rebuilt (and I believe it) but I have no real proof (receipts / etc)……..I will try to get the motor fired up before the auction is over, and then add a note to the auction. - Very rear panel that the trunk latch goes on has been removed…They are available and are under $100 - Body mount “pucks” were being replaced, but job wasn’t completed - Shifter is a 3-speed, but I think you can buy a piece to adapt it to the 4 speed overdrive transmission. It will work as-is, you just can’t manually pull it down into low gear. LOOK THE PICTURES OVER CAREFULLY, THEY PRETTY MUCH TELL THE STORY. ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING TO AVOID MISUNDERSTANDINGS LATER. CAR IS LOCATED IN PAYSON, ILLINOIS (ZIP CODE 62360) THIS IS THE WEST-CENTRAL PART OF THE STATE I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION AT ANYTIME IF THE CAR SELLS OUTSIDE OF EBAY THE FINE PRINT: If you pick up the car in person the only payment method is CASH. Payment: Cashier’s check or wire transfer….In advance of the car being picked up If you have the car shipped to you, it doesn’t leave my property until the check has cleared my bank….This can take 3-10 business days depending on the banks involved.
