Being a 1973 Toyota FJ-40 you do not have to smog it in California so you can make it a hot rod and drop a 350 in it or keep it stock Toyota this is a rare California Classic I found working on a lemon grove a true barn find with only what I believe to be 55445 original miles. Partially restored new factory Toyota Bumperetts, original rare factory Toyota front rubber mats and rear Toyota cargo mat,Original Toyota AM radio, new Toyota Hub caps, all stock except for extended shackles and rear fender flares, stock Toyota 6 cly gas engine and Toyota Transmission and bullet proof transfer case not butchered up with a Tranny breaking V8. Includes a really nice tow bar so you can bring it out to the desert to play. Condition: Excellent partial restoration. 99.9 rust free (just light rust scale) as you can see by the pictures it runs and drives good but has been sitting on a Lemon Grove for years so I would do a minor tune up and change the fluids. Transmission shifts smooth and I have tested the 4 wheel drive and transfer and every thing works as it should. perfect dash and rubber dash pads, new upholstery in the front and rear material is very high quality imported from Italy. a few things that the cruiser needs, a new back up light plastic cover, it also needs a new rear hatch handle. I would also install new window regulators they sort of work but you need to pull the side glass up while cranking Specter has them for around $65.00 each, The great thing is this was always used on a inland California Lemon grove so there is very very minimal to no rust and the original miles were verified by the person I purchased the vehicle from it only has 55445 miles on the dash, so this Cruiser Should give many more years of Service as many Original Toyota engines can go over 300K if properly maintained. The vin number for this Landcruiser is FJ40139465 and it is currently on California non operation as it was used on a Lemon grove so there should not be any back fees. Also this Landcruiser is California smog exempt so if the new owner wants to turn it into a V8 hot rod he or she can but I really believe it should stay bone stock Toyota. Rare because it is in good condition and is considered by most to be one of the best years as it is California Smog exempt. Why pay 35K or more for a restoration when you can get a decent all original cruiser for a forth of the price. All original toyota stock F motor This is a one in a million cruiser with low miles some desirable rare factory options and is in pretty decent shape and not rusted out like so many on the east coast. These vehicles continue to appreciate and if well cared for are better that MONEY IN THE BANK! This truck will bring a premium as it should but you will save in the long run and you will have a rare example of an FJ40 the way they were that continues to appreciate.
