FACTORY 1961 Mercedes Benz Unimog Crew Cab 4 door convertible !! Very rare, only 200 made !! This Unimog was built as a command and drivers-ed vehicle. It was built by Karmann in Osnabrueck, Germany which is also the reason why these rare Unimogs have more rust than the other 404 S models. This one is very rough and rusty but the body is pretty straight and the folding sides for the bed are decent too. It had been converted to a 4 cylinder diesel engine so some sheet metal had been cut to make it fit. The engine obviously broke and the cylinder head is missing. This truck needs EVERYTHING so please do not bid if you do not understand how much work this will be and just how rare this is. The good news is that all drivetrain parts are identical with the regular 404 Unimogs. I will throw in a solid, rust free and straight front clip as replacement for the rusty nose. The rear bed canvas and frame are temporary just to store items on the bed and none of the items on the rear or the canvas and frame are included in this auction. Otherwise it is strictly “what you see is what you get”. Just bid on this one and the other Unimog project truck I have so you would end up with a running crew cab. No batteries, no title, AS IS with bill of sale only for local pick up. Please do not ask if you can prep this truck at my location and then drive it to Alaska...
