Vehicle Detail

Reserve lowered Selling a Complete Mercedes 250 SL 1967, with 124,600 Kilomethers ( approx 77,000 miles).Matching engine and body numbers. European model with European lights and gages. 6 cylinder fuel injection engine with automatic transmission, was running and kept stalling because of air in the fuel line. Engine number;M129.III129.982-12-001881 I tried starting the car a few weeks ago, it turned easily and ran shortly, sputtered and then stalled, fuel supply is definitely the issue, since I checked for ignition and we had plenty of sparks, matter fact the wiring system is genuine Mercedes and clearly new with new spark plugs. not sure if it is air in the injection system or fuel pump starving fuel! But the car should run once these issues investigated and repaired.. Brakes were serviced last February and still strong pedal, yet would recommend a re-inspection to be on the safe side.Ignition switch was broken and pulled off while a temporary switch was installed for starting purpose / Found and will include a replacement switch with a key that will require for you to install. can send pictures upon request.Car has been in storage for 6 years and to make running should only require to clean and bleed air from fuel lines, since electrical ignition seems all very functional. I found an invoice dated from from February 16th 2012, where the previous owner spent $400 to get the brake line bled, oil and anti freeze replaced and fuel line cleaned and put on new spark plugs. The car was running when we got it at the beginning of the summer, yet the injection fuel line took air and we have not spent anymore time to repair. Some rust under the carriage mostly below and along lower parts of rocker panels as well areas from front and rear floor sections will need to be repaired. also some areas in the front driver wheel well and firewall as some rusted out sections.Trunk area very solid with some surface rust on one side. Beside these areas, good solid car all around with a fair paint showing its age. I jacked the car to take better under floor pictures and added pictures showing the car with both doors open to show integrity of the floors even with the rust. the driver door hinge is worn, yet close well and tight, the passenger hinge no looseness. Door fitting and closing very smoothly and tightly.Only one very small dent on the trunk lead.Chromes starting to show some pitting on some parts but all fairly good and straight with a dent on the front bumper. Please note that it is a 250 SL and that the previous owner put on the trunk lid a 280 SL emblem wrongly. ORIGINAL Leather interior showing its age, yet with no major tear and still presentable. RARE REAR factory original leather PASSENGER JUMP SEAT.Carpets original and decent.Wood trims in dash weathered and delaminated.Soft top in Blue canvas with rear plastic window aged and dark, with side punctures, The Top was storaged down and plastic window are dry and too tight to pull the back end down to close. Can be turned into a driver or a good candidate for a Total restoration. Please note that all sale is AS IS, with NO WARRANTY of any kind. It will be the Buyers responsibility to pick up the car and it is understood that the car is not in full running condition as it is today. The Seller will assist the Buyer to the best of his ability during the pick up.All sale are final and will require a NON REFUNDABLE deposit via PAYPAL of $1500.00 due within 24 hours and balance payment to be made 7 days from the end of the auction see below condition of payments.Pick up can only be made after the full payment has been made and no later then 3 weeks from the end of the auction. Please note that we prevail ourselves the right to stop this auction at anytime!
