Vehicle Detail
1972 Chevrolet C-10 Pickup, Two Wheel drive, Fleetside bed. The truck started as a solid, southern truck. It received a frame off restoration in 1998. The frame was media blasted, and repainted. All bushings were replaced. The truck has the engine and transmission from a 1994 Suburban, which at the time had 30,000 miles. This is a nice installation, not a hacked up mess. The engine is stock fuel injected 454, with exhaust manifolds. The transmission is 4 speed automatic, 4L80. The computer was reprogrammed with a JET chip, which made the shifts crisper. The truck is lowered correctly, using CCP products, (spindle, spring, and shock in the front, springs, shocks and adjustable track bar in the rear). The truck drives great. It has power steering, factory power disc brakes, and cold Air Conditioning. It has dual exhaust, with turbo mufflers, and tailpipes that exit behind the rear tires. The rearend is a truck 12 bolt, with 3:23 gears, and a fresh posi carrier. The interior is stock, with the exception of the velour seat cover, and the Dakota digital dash. It has a factory tilt column, and the dash is uncut, still housing the original AM radio, ( which doesn't work.) It has a new battery, and the alternator was recently replaced as well. The truck has NEW B.F.Goodrich Raised White Letter tires, (245/60/15 on the front, and 275/60/15 on the rear.) They are mounted on GM 15" X 8" Rally Wheels, with NOS Astro Van Center caps, and trim rings. The truck has only 1280 miles put on it since restored. It runs and drives great, and will even give decent milage, if you keep your foot out of it. It is nice having the overdrive, so that the truck isn't screaming on the highway. It has a few, minor scratches here and there, but still shines nice, and looks great. Everything works, with the exception of the radio. I have several pictures of the truck, and would be happy to take more. Not really interested in any trades. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, or call. This truck is for sale locally, and could end without notice. Delivery is available within 300 miles of St. Louis, MO, for a fee. Thanks, and good luck! -Mike 618-960-9135
