Vehicle Detail
I have owned this car for over 2.5 years, and I have really enjoyed it. I'm only selling because I need more room. I'll miss my 'Stang! Anyway, as the title says, it's the base model, so it's got the 3.8L V6. It's a 5-speed manual transmission. It drives very nice and smooth. It's comfortable on long trips. The engine seems to have plenty of power. Under my ownership, I've not had any problems with this car. I've only had it in the shop for regular maintenance and new tires. The exterior looks really good. The paint job is strong. That being said, I have had a couple minor incidents in it. The first was someone hitting the car while it was parked in a parking lot. It was a hit and run, so I didn't see it, but it broke the left tail light, and dented a little of the fender and bumper. It actually resulted in a better looking bumper. I also hit a deer about a year ago. It hit on the front right, and broke the headlight, and messed up the hood, front bumper, and right front fender. I had it all replaced, and with the new hood, it looks much sharper than before. Neither incident triggered an airbag. I've recently added fog lights with internal control. I've also beefed up the sound system quite a bit. The head unit is a new, 2012 model with DVD, MP3, and Bluetooth (w/audio streaming). It's a JVC KW-AV60BT, if you'd like to view more detailed specs on it. I've also upgraded all the speakers. The fronts are Pioneer Premiere components, where the backs are Kenwood Coaxial. Powering those speakers is an Infinity 4-channel amp, mounted on the back of the rear drivers-side seat. Mounted in the trunk is an Infinity BassLink subwoofer with 200 watts of built-in power. I designed all this with the idea of just having great quality sound, not blasting the radio for others to hear. It does sound really good. I put a lot of time in installing this stuff. Known issues:Exahust leak on cold start - Since I purchased the car, there has been an audible leak for the first couple minutes after a cold start. It never bothered me, so I never fixed it. Cracked windshield(shown in picture) - It's on the passenger side, and out of the driver's line of vision. I never replaced since it wasn't interfering with my driving. Strange tint - When I purchased, the driver and rear had an odd tint installed. It's a little blurry to see through. It didn't bother me enough to replace. Here's a link to the engine running:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XHZE85UrWo&feature=youtu.be Like I said before, the car runs great. I'd have full confidence in it making a long drive right now. If you want to know anything else about it, feel free to ask. Same goes for pics or videos. I'll provide whatever you'd like to see. Thanks for looking!
