up for sale/ bid is a time capsule on wheels. 1979 dodge maxi van 200 window van. this van just came out from a lengthy storage and features a sunroof, crank up roof vent, clearance/ running lights, spare tire carrier, tinted slider windows, curtains, window shades, bed/ mattress platform, custon door panels and dog house cover, side cushioned seat with storage cabinet and drawers underneath,overhead console with c.b. radio, am/fm cassette player with vintage dash speaker,magazine rack/towel bar, custom wood paneling and the standard issue of the van craze... shag carpet throughout! original front plaid seats are flawless and the vintage dodge van floor mats are cool as well. dash and interior are remarkably preserved. the paint appears to be original and features hand painted pin striping. the van was taken out of a long term storage and was washed and waxed... it shines very well! it has a few chips/light scratches and one small rust spot was found.also one dent on the passenger rocker.it has 15" hurricane wheels on it and although the tires have good tread, they are old and should maybe be replaced. the van starts up and runs goodand quiet. (318 with a 2 barrel carb), the transmission shifts smoothly. all belt and hoses have been maintained. the van drives down the road smooth like new. because it was sitting for so long, it could use a carb rebuild, or perhaps just a tune up as it has i slight miss at idle. it does start and run fine though.the exhaust/ muffler look to be the original. the brakes work good as well.power steering is smooth. the van does not leave any drips or puddles on the garage floor when parked. over all, this is a very nice, clean 1979 van! i wish i could keep it for myself, but i just don't have the time and would like to see someone get some use/ enjoyment out of it. van is located in duduth mn. 55808 will help with loading if needed sold as is where is no warrant of any kind
