Vehicle Detail
Collector Model Car Needs TLC and Will Be Good to Go! Anyone who is familiar with the Nissan 300 ZX knows that it's sought after by collectors and Nissan enthusiasts in particular. Here's your chance to own a nearly 20-year-old model at an affordable price. With some cosmetic and mechanical attention, this car can be brought back to its former greatness or may be used for parts for another project in process. We have all service paperwork dating back to 1999, including thousands of dollars worth of receipts. Just this year, it has had a tune-up and other miscellaneous work. It currently has a transmission issue that is TBD, but we have records of a new transmission in 1999 and a rebuilt tranny in 2009. Currently, the air is not blowing cold but it had recent work on the unit and was working shortly thereafter. In August of this year, the car drove 1,100+ miles from Dallas to the Chicago suburbs and was my son's daily transportation until recently when the transmission began to slip. InteriorThe interior is in very good shape, with only a chip in the driver's side door panel. Otherwise, the leather seats and dash are in good condition. All gauges, heat, other known mechanical is all working fine. The car has the original BOSE stereo with speakers and amplifier. It has a new (installed in the last year) Kenwood head unit. Tires are in good condition with about 50% wear. Brakes are good. ExteriorAs far as the known body issues . . . the paint is oxidized on the hood and has some minor oxidization overall. There are significant scratches and dings on the body (see pics). Bottom line -- the body needs work as well as new paint. Also, there is damage to the front bumper and right fender and the air dam has been removed, none of which impacts drive-ability or safety. The fuel door mount is broken (we do have the door). However, there is NO major rust or significant body damage. THIS WAS A SOUTHERN CAR ALL ITS LIFE. The car was originally sold in Tennessee and was in Texas from 1999 up until earlier this year and since garaged. We are the third owners and are selling because it's my college-aged son's car and he needs something more practical and economical. This car is being sold AS IS and WHERE IS. We offer no guarantees or warranties beyond the description. In our opinion the car should be towed until the present transmission issue can be evaluated. Buyer will be responsible for towing/transportation of the vehicle upon purchase (shipping is NOT included). Please ask all questions prior to bidding. Thank you! NOTE: Thank you to everyone who's expressed interest in the car. We've had numerous questions and requests to see it. We feel our "Buy It Now" is a fair price, but would entertain an offer, which is why we allowed for that option. If you're seriously interested please make an offer -- on this page -- and the best one will take it. We won't be answering any more questions that are simply asking us what we'll take for the car. If you have other questions about the vehicle's history or condition, we'll do our best to answer. Thank you.
