Vehicle Detail
This is a 1968 Mustang Fastback, C code with a 289 V8 engine and a C4 Automatic Transmission. It runs great and has been used as my daily driver for the last 6 years I have owned it. Clear title, unknown how many miles due to the roll-over ever 99,999 but as far as I know the engine hasn't been replaced. Work I have done to it: Changed the stock intake manifold and the stock carburetor with a High performance Edlebrock intake and a 600 cfm 4 barrel carburetor. Reupholstered the seats with black (originally blue/dark blue), and the carpet with black (originally blue). Got a new dash trim in black (old was blue and cracked/damaged), and took out the center console which was blue and damaged (added a middle console/arm rest in black). Added a sound system and new car battery, but removed the subwoofers/amp combo (took up entire trunk space) so now everything is disconnected, but the speakers/cd player work fine, just need to be rewired and I'm no sound tech. I never painted it, it was purchased in this color of blue with white stripes. Paint looks ok from afar (10-15 feet), but chipping up close in several locations (see pics). Also had it taken to mechanic multiple times for power steering related issues (replaced power steering pump), runs great but the power steering is alittle stiff. Had the radiator re-welded as it was leaking. Added chrome sport rims, also added a new H-Pipe exhaust system with flow-master mufflers (sounds great), stock exhaust manifold. I have all the paper work for everything I had done to it. Under carriage looks great, virtually no rust. Car is located in Jamul California (91935) so if your local to the San Diego area you can check it out in person. I believe the driver-side car door has been replaced and isn't original because the vin number on the door doesn't match the vin on the dash, I had to explain this to the DMV upon registration, but no issue here. Car was manufactured in Michigan and spent most of it's life in Texas (according to previous owner) and has remained in San Diego for the past 6 years. If you would like more pictures I can provide them via email upon request, just tell me what you want to see. I can also take some video of the car running/starting up so you can verify it's condition.
