Now the car is powered by a 468 Chevy motor that is topped with a Weiand 6-71 blower and (2) Holley 750CFM blower carbs. This car was primarily used as a street car, but has run 6:45 @ 106MPH in the 1/8th mile, which would figure out to low 10 second quarter mile times. Behind the blower motor is a fully built TH400 that has a full manual reverse valve body and blower style torque convertor. Front suspension on the car is all GM with disc front brakes, and the backhalf is a ladder bar setup that uses a back-braced 9-inch Ford rearend with Strange aluminum / adjustable coil-over shocks. The rearend was recently freshened with a new Strange center section using a spool and 4:88 gears turning Mark Williams axles. Rear brakes are Wilwood discs. Has proper dual 750 CFM Holley blower carbs that are boost referenced and have an adjustable boost retard. Block is an iron GM unit and the heads are ported aluminum Edelbrock Performers. Motor has a Comp Cams (0.652” / 308D) solid billet roller cam as well as roller rockers and stud girdle. There was about $12,000 spent to build this motor initially. - Exhaust is handled by Hooker Super Comp headers feeding through Magnaflow 3-1/2” mufflers - Wilwood disc rear brakes - Transmission is a fully built TH400 (Turbo 400) with a 3,000RPM stall convertor - 9-inch ford rear with all fresh internals including a spool and 4:88 gears turning MW axles. Center section is all Strange components - House of Kolor “Stratto Blue” paint - Full set of Autometer gauges including TACH W/ SHIFT LIGHT / SPEEDO / VOLT METER / OIL PRES / FUEL PRES / FUEL LEVEL / BOOST / WATER TEMP - Shifter is a Precision Performance Product race shifter - 15 gallon aluminum fuel cell - Holley 250 Dominator fuel pump with return lines - All solid aluminum or braided steel fuel lines - Aluminum radiator - Optima Red Top battery - Electric water pump - Flaming River power shutoff switch - Mild steel 12-point cage (proper tubing used, should be able to certify) - Car is all steel with factory dash and all factory glass….Only fiberglass is the bumpers and hood - Car was a nice solid car (good floorpans / underside / ETC) before it was narrowed - Wheels are Weld DragLites they are 15X14 on the rear with 31” X 16.50” Hoosier Quick Time tires THIS CAR HAS A VERY REASONABLE RESERVE ON IT…..BUT THE BUY-IT-NOW ASSURES YOU GET THE CAR BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE DOES….AND FOR ABOUT ½ OF THE COST TO BUILD THE CAR.
