I973 MGB This is a rust free CA car. I stopped driving it when it started blowing white smoke back in 1993. This car has been garaged for the past 20 years and I’m now ready to part with it. I recently did a compression check and the readings are; cylinder 1 135, cylinder 2 100, cylinder 3 175, cylinder 4 100. Included are 2 intake systems. The original SU carburetors which have had new brass butterfly bushings pressed in to them and a Webber set up. Both intake systems are complete. The Webber set up will give you quicker power and the SU’s will give you a smoother power band. Also included are 2 tonneau covers one long one short, an extra oil cooler, an extra rack and pinion assembly, and 2 full size spare wheels and tires. The 1973 MGB is the most desirable of all the MGB’s because it is the last year of the chrome bumper cars 74 and on has the lame rubber bumpers. 1973 is also the first year that the MGB’s came with vinyl wiring harnesses eliminating many of the electrical problems that cursed the earlier models. It is the first year that came with a locking glove box. This car is also equipped with the optional true wire wheels and the transmission is the factory Mark II with revised gear ratios giving it better low end pull and higher top speed, you will out run even a supercharged 62-67 MGB. The SU carbs that came with the 73 MGB’s are considered the smoothest operating. The 73 came with the desirable non-remote fuel bowls. I’m also throwing in a Uni-Syn.
