Vehicle Detail

Up for sale I have my 1929 Ford model A track style roadster. It is built on a pair of 32 ford frame rails with custom tubular x member and flat front crossmember. For the car's front suspension, it has a 5" dropped I beam axle, split wishbones, F100 drum brakes reversed eye spring, f100 front shock mounts with chrome tube p&J shocks, Early VW bus steering box, straight sttering column with model T steering wheel. The rear axle is a ford style Banjo rear with aluminum center section & drum brakes, this rear axle assemble is out of a 1960 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II. The rear axle in this gets an unbelievable amount of attention and interest because so few people have seen one and it resembles ford's construction except with an aluminum center section and separate axle bells bolted to axle tubes with 24 bolts and 25 bolts from the bells to center! Nothing like British over engineering. The gear ratio is 3.08:1 so it moves down the freeway well. For the rest of the rear suspension there is a model a rear cross member and spring, radius rods constructed using model T front axles with 19" black powder coated spoke wheels and 450/475 19 bias ply tires all around. It has a 4cylinder hemi engine/ 5 speed trans, dual carbs, new radiator/ fan etc. The engine trans is from a 1980 Toyota corolla, it runs well and is economical with the rear ratio and five speed trans. The body consists of 28/29 ford radiator shell shortened roughly 2", a new rootlieb stock style 4 piece hood, 28/29 cowl/ doors and fabricated ΒΌ's. The cowl needs normal model a patch panels which bolt in for this year, the 1/4's need some finishing around the bottom and rear where they meet the rear body panel. I intended to build a trunk to conceal the battery and have some practical storage space but just have not had the time. I built this car entirely from parts about 5 years ago, took it to the LA Roadster show (some might recognize it), a few local shows and events and have not been out with it as much as I should have. I own and do all fabrication work at a reputable hot rod shop in Tucson. All work done on the car was performed by myself and is well done but it will more than likely need more to suit your needs and finishing up. The car is entirely drive able, is registered, licensed and insured in Tucson Arizona 85743 it does not have turn siganals, windshield wiper, horn, seat belts or airbags. I do not want to sell this car but I have not used it for a while now and have a baby on the way so an open two-seater won't be too helpful. Buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping costs from Tucson Arizona 85743, Short term storage is not an issue so long as the car is paid for. I can potentially transport to various shows/ swap meets in neighboring states for a fee but don't plan on that happening. The car is being sold as-is, where-is. If further completion is desired that is possible for all related parts/labor. Please call with any questions, further info or additional pictures. Peter 520-730-7438
