Vehicle Detail

For Sale is my 1968 Camaro. Car is a project car but runs, drives, stops. I will give as much info as I can. Feel free to contact me with any questions you have. Car was taken off the road about 15 years ago by the previous owner to do a moderate restoration. He pulled the interior and ground some paint of the quarters and that's as far as he got. Car drove fine when it was parked. Between the previous owner and myself it has always been in a garage. Body. Car will need quarters, wheel wells, one shock tower, and probably the rear light panel. There were older repairs done to the trunk floor and drivers floor with sheet metal. They are solid but not factory metal. Doors, roof, rest of floor seem pretty solid. Has some spots of surface rust at some places. Has new fenders and cowl hood in primer. (fenders loosely hung on car). Trunk lid, valence etc are useable with a little work. I have all the glass for the car. Interior I have most of the interior pieces except for the headliner( all poles are there), carpet, and passenger seat(somehow got lost by previous owner). The rear seat is in great shape, the drivers seat is pretty good, has one small tear on the seat part. I would consider the front door cards, sun visors, kick plates and armrests useable. Most of the other stuff I have I was not going to reuse. Car has a factory Tach. Driveline Car has a 350 with a 4 speed. Car is an original v8, manual trans car. Motor in the car is not original. Has Holley 4 barrel, and an edelbrock performer rpm intake. The car runs, drives(link to video below) and stops but still needs some work to be mechanically roadworthy. Carb needs to be rebuilt or replaced. It actually has 0 miles on it and was put on new by the previous owner but from sitting so long will need a rebuild. Other than the carb the motor runs really smooth, no noises. It will need a starter, it sometimes does not want to catch. I don't really know too much about the motor in the car. The previous owner told me it was a mild performance 350, and he also said it did not have too many miles on it. I tend to believe him because the block, oil pan, etc were painted and do not have hardly any road grime, oil, etc on them. I tried to get a couple pictures of that as best I could. I have never driven the car on the road only around the driveway but it went into the gears fine and clutch worked. Newer parts(past year) on the motor are plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, accel points eliminator kit.***Note*** Optima Red Top Battery does not go with car *** Brakes Has new master cylinder, front brake lines, front wheel cylinders. Rear Brake lines and cylinders will need to be replaced. Overall this car is a good base for someone who can do the work. I just have no time to work on the car anymore. I do want to emphasize that this is a project car, I tried to describe everything the best that I could but there are probably some things that I missed. Thanks and good luck. Here is a link to a video of the car running. Not the best quality but you get the idea. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is for sale locally. What you see in the pictures is what you get with the car(plus front and rear glass which I did not take a picture of) Car is sold as is with no warranty. I have tried my best to describe what I could. If there is any info you would like or anything specific you would like to see a picture of let me know. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. If you are an out of the area buyer I will assist the shipping company with getting the car prepped for shipping and loading. $500 Deposit required at auction end. Balance due at vehicle pickup. On Nov-25-12 at 20:36:28 PST, seller added the following information: *Note* 64275 is the odometer reading. I do not know if that is correct or if it is 164275. On Nov-28-12 at 16:02:42 PST, seller added the following information: I have had a couple questions regarding the window channels and if there was any rot in them. For the rear window there is a section on the passenger side but is in a location that a replacement quarter will take care of. there is also a small hole in the bottom section. (not even big enough to stick a pen through) Rest of rear is good. For the front the sides of the window channel and the top are good. There are two small spots on each corner of the dash panel that will need a small patch. I added picture of all three of those spots. Any more questions just ask. Thanks.
