Had to put this note due to many questions from ebayers about our cars being damaged or not due to the recent storm in our area. As seen in the pictures this nice looking 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS 5-Speed Manual has sustained a front end damage. This vehicle was directly purchased from insurance auctions for resale. No middle man involved. The good news is that the car starts, engine runs excellent, and we were able to drive it within our lot. The many pictures provided blow clearly show the damage to the front end. Looks like it was a front side hit rather than a direct front hit. Engine is not affected and runs great! The rest of the body is in mint condition with excellent paint. Similarly interior is in great condition which is what's expected at only 36k miles!!! All airbags are ok except the driver steering wheel airbag which can easily be obtained from car-part website or here on ebay. All glass ok. Good news is that the car starts right up and engine runs excellent and we're able to drive it within our yard. Again, the car starts, engine runs excellent, goes into gear and we're able to drive it within the lot. Many used parts can be found for this car at online junk yard database car-part or here on ebay. car-part is a source of used oem parts from many junk yards across the country. As seen in the pictures this nice looking 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS 5-Speed Manual has sustained a front end damage. This vehicle was directly purchased from insurance auctions for resale. No middle man involved. The good news is that the car starts, engine runs excellent, and we were able to drive it within our lot. The many pictures provided blow clearly show the damage to the front end. Looks like it was a front side hit rather than a direct front hit. The rest of the body is in mint condition with excellent paint. Similarly interior is in great condition which is what's expected at only 36k miles!!! All airbags are ok except the driver steering wheel airbag which can easily be obtained from car-part website or here on ebay. All glass ok. Good news is that the car starts right up and engine runs excellent and we're able to drive it within our yard. Again, the car starts, engine runs excellent, goes into gear and we're able to drive it within the lot. Many used parts can be found for this car at online junk yard database car-part or here on ebay. car-part is a source of used oem parts from many junk yards across the country. We specifically deal with light damaged or theft recovered salvage rebuildable vehicles. This vehicle was picked up from an insurance auction for resale. We directly purchase from insurance auctions and no middle man involved. Insurance companies usually salvage vehicles due to collision, theft, flood..etc. but this doesn't mean that they are beyond repair. In most cases its not the actual damage to the car that causes a vehicle to be salvaged but the circumstances under which they are declared salvage. For example, theft recovered vehicles are always salvaged since they are usually recovered after the owner is paid off by the insurance company. Or the owner might not want the vehicle after going through an accident even if the damages are light and easily repairable such as our cars. Whatever the case is these cars can easily be returned to the streets and that is why they're sold through auctions as repairable vehicles.
We have the salvage certificate of title (no-liens) in our possession and it will be re-assigned to the new owner to follow up with their state salvage process. Every state has its own salvage process and its usually filling out some forms and taking the car to an inspection after repairs (if any repairs are needed). Please check with your local motor vehicle center for the exact procedures and rules/regulations.
