If you have been looking for a 1st generation 4runner you can drive everyday and stand out from the crowd, you just found it! My 4runner runs and drives great and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. It is equipped with bullet proof 2.4 4cylinder and the desirable 5 speed transmission. The truck shows very nice outside, has a great shine. I'm not the 1st owner so I do not know if it's ever been repainted, but I did not see anything obvious that makes it look like an aftermarket paint job. There are of course normal scratches, and wear and tear as to be expected. It has a faded sticker on each front fender, I have not tried to remove them. One of the taillights has a crack. Bumpers have dents/dings. This is not a show truck, but is not junk either. It's one of the nicer 4runners I've seen. Every time I take it out I get compliments, photos taken etc. The interior is clean, but of course is not perfect, the seats, door panels headliner etc look good. The carpets have stains, but I haven't tried to steam clean the carpets. The instrument panel plexiglas has a crack in it. The dash has a crack in the center. Its missing the bottom of the bottom of the shift boot. The ac/heater control panel has a piece missing, it functions perfectly. All gauges, clock, interior lights, fan speed, etc work . I had AC charged this summer and it worked perfectly. Compressor kicks on as it should. The hardtop is in good shape but is faded in some parts. I was going to have it painted, but realize some people would want it black, so I left it as is. It's not cracked, etc. It has the rear wiper and sliding side windows. Power rear window still works as it should. I have interior trim pieces that cover the bolts of the top once it is installed, a few pieces are broken in half (thank my friends dog) but still serve there purpose, and you really can't tell once they are installed. The car runs and drives well. It does not pull, make weird noises etc. All functions work well. 4wd works as it should. The miles on the odometer are high, but not being the original owner, I do not know if the motor has been redone before I had it. My friends that have ridden or have driven the car have all complimented how well it runs and drives. Belts and plugs have been replaced and it has a fresh oil change. Keep in mind this is a used vehicle, its not perfect. I would prefer the buyer inspect it in person before bidding, but realize that this may be possible.
