1991 Mercedes SL500 1991 Mercedes SL500 !!!!!!NO RESERVE!!!!!! Scroll Down For More Pictures VEHICLE DESCRIPTION This mercedes SL500 is a great project car. The engine of the car is good. Runs strong and idles great. The negative is the car shifts hard in all gears. When you take off you have to let off the gas on each gear to make it shift. When it shifts it shits hard. The body of the vehicle is very straight. The clear coat is chipping on the front hood and bumpers. Also a tiny but on the front fenders. The interior is in fair condition. The soft top looks like brand new. The convertible top works but is leaking hydrolic fluid so when the fluid is low it will not work. The switch is missing for the top and I tested the top by borrowing a switch from friend. The passenger window is not working and the tire tread is good but the tires are cracked. The car needs brakes and the ASR light is on. I would assume because it needs brakes.
