I’m relisting this because the winning buyer is in Hawaii and won another auction so he decided not to complete the sale of mine.1963 IH Scout 80 pickup cab for sale. Bought it a couple years ago to play with and restore. Worked on it for awhile and now it's just been sitting. Life has got in the way so time to move on to someone else. It runs and drives...Brakes are not good. I put new drums and pads on it when I got it, but it needs new master cylinder I think. I drove it to my buddies cabin about an hour away about a year ago, and the brakes are unsafe. I would not let anybody drive it without having the brakes fixed. For the last year it has sat in the barn. I have the original 1963 clear title. I bought it from Virginia where they don't title old vehicles. I took the title to the BMV here and they said it was clear. I was planning on having it registered as a vintage vehicle her in Indiana, but needed to drive it to be inspected as original and never got that far.It was sanded and painted just before I bought it. It looks great from 50-100 ft away. Up closer you can see where bondo was painted over dents etc.. and rust in the bed floor was painted over. The rockers rusted out and were repaired, but not very well. I have both inside and outside repro rocker sheet metal for both sides that is included also. I think they were about $200. The bodywork was I’m guessing a rush job. Like I said it looks good until you get up close then you can see they didn’t do a great job. It looks good enough to me that I planned on leaving the body as is and getting it running before making it look better. I was also told it had a new clutch installed right before I bought it. The engine runs OK a couple people came over and we had it going last week for the other auction.. I think it needs the carb rebuilt/cleaned or ignition system looked at. It fouls plugs. I'm not a mechanic...not positive what's wrong with the engine....I'm not going to fix it or the brakes before the sale ends. I would think that it’s the carb or ignition system causing the problems. Please ask any questions before you bid...I'll do my best to answer all of them. Engine surprisingly doesn't leak oil or anything. It's a 152ci 4cyl. All the fluids have been changed. 4x4 works both high and low. Has dual tanks only drivers side is hooked up at the present time. Tires are old, but I have never had to add air to them. It came with some extra parts...it has an extra Front axle, the full travel top pretty rough but salvageable, and an original bucket drivers seat. Some of the pics are older when I last had it outside. It has been kept in the garage ever since I brought it home. It also has a new steering wheel that isn’t in the pics. Most of the pics are older from when I took it to a couple truck shows for those who saw it there. It's still the same just dusty from sitting in the barn. ThanksIt's sold as is. Pick up here only.
