For auction is a 1973 Ford Gran Torino Sport Fastback with a 3514V Cleveland Q code engine and C6 automatic transmission. This Car is the factory Yellow with black(new) bucket Interior. I have ordered the Marti report and will list it before the close of this auction detailing all Ford OEM options. This is a 95% DONE PROJECT/CAR . I have owned the car for about a year and have a clear title. This Q code GRAND TORINO SPORT IS a FL car so it was always had little to 0 rust. Engine – 1973 Q code The block is a D2AE-CA block with a date code of 3J21 (Sept 21, 1973). Engine just pulled out of a parts car. Does have the correct 4BBL intake manifold and the larger 4V 1973 Cobra Jet heads. Ford 351CJ Block is stamped D2AE-CA Block has a date code of 3J21 (1973) Heads are stamped '4' meaning the larger CJ ported heads. Interior Original blk bucket seats are in excellent condition with new seat covers (front & Back). Black console with floor shifter. Door and rear panels are original with no rips or tears. Brand new carpet and soundproofing installed on the floors; no floorboard rust or repair. New door seals all the way around. Dash pad is in very good original condition with no major blemishes.– the dash picture shows the worst part. Windows all work properly as well as seat belts. Exterior Paint was done a year ago and looks good. There should be a couple of touch ups and a good buff before showing her. Wheels are 15 x 7 Magnum 500’s and tires are BF Goodrich Radial TA 225 65 15 (Front) & 265 65 15 (Back) The wheels are original ford 15x7 Magnums and the tires are 6 months old with less than 200 miles. Bumpers are in good shape and the chrome is great with no chrome peeling. Both bumpers are perfectly straight and great , the front will need a new bumper pad to be 100% correct. Drivetrain Engine starts easily and runs well and transmission shifts properly. I have not driven it enough to notice any oil consumption but it does not smoke when started up. No fluid leaks that I have noticed since restoration was completed. Original intake manifold and carburetor have been replaced with an aftermarket Edelbrock manifold and Edelbrock 4 barrel 750 carburetor – the electric choke is why I left this carb on. Factory manifold and carburetor is not available at this time. Exhaust is new from 4v headers to the mufflers (Flow masters) & out the back. there are no exhaust leaks from the exhaust manifolds back. Comes with ac parts in trunk and bolt on hood scoop(not installed at this time. Body Door hinge bushings are in great shape, no door sagging. Drop-down panels between the gas tank and rear quarters inside the trunk are perfect. No rust-through in the trunk or around the trunk seal (New). Door jambs are all clean with no rust(new seals).
