QUESTIONS THAT CAN’T WAIT FOR AN ANSWER VIA E-MAIL, PLEASE CALL MY CELL @ (217) 779-6309 AND ASK FOR CRAIG….E-MAILS WILL BE ANSWERED IN A TIMELY MANNER. AT A GLANCE: - SUPER sharp car – EXCELLENT workmanship - High dollar build – only really driven once or twice - Fabricated sheetmetal 9-inch Ford rearend / Carbon Fiber tubs / Tig-Welded Chrome-Moly round tube “Pro Stock” chassis - Nice low stance - Fresh paint (VERY nice) – originally a Black car – True Z28 - Nice laser straight car – no putty - Professional Racer and Chassis builders personal car (dash signed by David) - Stock LT-1 350 and factory overdrive automatic transmission for reliability (drive it instead of working on it) - Factory amenities (Air conditioning / comfy factory bucket seats / power windows / power mirrors / power driver seat / all lights / windshield wipers / heat / nice aftermarket stereo) - Car can handle a BUNCH more horsepower if you want to add it - Plumbed so you can easily add Nitrous if you just want a bit more HP on demand – can also use a Hypertech programmer - No bodywork or rust issues – nice clean / solid car - Wheelwells properly stretched so the back tires “fit the car” - Would make a super sharp bracket car - Firewall untouched so could be made into a Super Stocker - A little bit different than the “typical” Pro Street cars….But still a Chevy…and still a Camaro - Unlikely that you pull up next to another one just like it at your local cruise….If you do….yours will be nicer!!!!! For sale I have David Janes’ personal Pro Street / Pro Touring 1994 Chevrolet Z28 Camaro . David started the build on this car in about 2004, working on it between building some of the top Pro Stock and Pro Mod cars in the world today. This car is a top quality build with lots of $$$’s spent to make it a stand-out car. Replacement cost today would be around $19,000++……..If you supplied the Camaro. Car still has the factory stock LT-1 engine and 4-speed automatic transmission in it. Factory dash is untouched and car still has all of the factory amenities like air-conditioning / power seat / power mirrors / etc. See David’s website @ http://www.davidjanesmotorsports.com for his car building philosophy…and a look at some of the world class cars he has built for some very notable names in the professional Drag Racing industry. Also note that David is a professional driver himself and among others has piloted Pro Stock and Pro Mod cars. David’s personal investment was around $17,500 in this car….But that is NOT counting any labor…..That is hard parts (at David’s cost) and the cost of the Camaro itself. RESERVE IS CONSIDERABLY LESS THAN HIS INVESTMENT TO BUILD THE CAR…..SUFFICE IT TO SAY IT WOULD COST YOU A BUNCH MORE THAN WHAT I AM ASKING TO RE-PRODUCE THIS CAR…..AND YOU WOULD HAVE TO WAIT TO HAVE IT BUILT!! David’s design criteria was as follows: 1. Don’t need another 2,000HP car….Got those already….Not great street cars. 2. Needed to be ultra-sharp if it was going to be his personal car….and a calling card for his shop 3. Want the back-half to be the same as his Pro Stock cars 4. Wanted to leave the stock powertrain & dash & electronics alone 5. Had to be able to take the wife out to dinner in it…..Had to be a “driver” I feel David without a doubt hit all of his design goals as this car…..The car has the following to offer: 1. Started with a good 1994 Z-28 Camaro that was bone stock and didn’t have any rust issues / etc.. David thought about doing a muscle car era vehicle, but liked the 94 Camaro for it’s uniqueness in the P/S crowd….Plus these cars have Plastic parts and galvanizing so they hold up well to the environment. Hard to find a muscle-car era car this clean and with the amenities he wanted. 2. Factory drive train is untouched (LT-1 350 / 4 spd automatic transmission) except for headers and mufflers 3. Factory dash and amenities untouched 4. Tig-Welded chrome-Moly round tube chassis (backhalf should be able to certify to 7.50) 5. Cage could be finished out and car should have no problems certifying down to 7.50 6. Firewall is un-modified so car could also be converted to a Super-Stocker 7. Backhalf is a work of art fitting 18.50” X 31” Hoosier radials with David spending a lot of time stretching the wheelwells to perfectly match his tire of choice (David was very picky on how this was done) 8. Backhalf is tied into the front subframes 9. Chrome-Moly 4-link back-half – copy of David’s Pro Stock cars 10. American racing wheels 11. Sheetmetal “fabricated” 9-inch ford rearend with all new Strange internals including 4.10 gears / Detroit Locker / Strange 35-spline axles / Nodular center section / disc brakes / coil-over shocks 12. Carbon fiber tubs ($1,700 cost for the tubs alone) 13. Excellent workmanship 14. Car still has factory power seats / power windows / air-conditioning / heat / full factory dash 15. American racing wheels on all 4 corners 16. Car was completely and professionally re-painted (looks great) – originally a Black car!! 17. Firewall is unchanged so car could be made a Super Stocker 18. Door bars are well placed so you can get in and out of the car 19. Car has the stock LT-1 motor and over-drive automatic transmission in it and they run and drive great 20. Fuel system was re-plumbed using braided steel lines to support more horsepower in the future 21. New fuel lines have a provision to feed a “wet” nitrous system, so you could add up to a 350HP kit 22. David was kind enough to sign the dash for me with his name & professional competition number In talking to David he felt that if he went any further with the cage he would have to remove the stock dash to make the cage fit the way he wanted and this was un-acceptable for this car. David has had many extremely fast full race cars…..This one was purpose built to be a driver. With all David has going on with his multiple businesses / etc. he only got to drive this car to dinner one time.
