Vehicle Detail
For Sale is my 1963 Willys Jeep CJ6 project with a clear NYS Transferrable Registration. My hobby interests have changed and I just don’t see myself finishing this project. Since it is my second complete vehicle build I have a pretty good idea what it will take to finish but I’m just not into it anymore. The last picture is of the Jeep as I brought it home several years ago (the plow is long gone). It was in running condition although it needed help (engine and steering mostly). The previous owner had installed a fiberglass tub which is still in good condition and performed a small block Chevy conversion. I did away with the 289 SBC V8 because it was tired and not worth fixing. As stated above the tub is fiberglass and in pretty good shape. The front end is all original steel with no rust or damage (just faded paint). Project status to this point:· Frame has been completely stripped down, coated with Eastwood HD Anti-Rust and Rust preventer. It was then coated with Rustoleum flat black.· Front and rear axles have been completely refurbished with new bearings, seals, etc. Both were stripped and coated the same as the frame.· Rear axle has a new Powertrax Lock Right locker· Front axle has new Warn locking hubs· Rear brakes upgraded to 11” drums with new brake hardware· Front brakes have been converted to disk with a full kit from Horsepower Sales LLC· New springs spring shackles, bushings, shocks and 2.5” lift leaf springs from Rough Country (setup to clear 31x10.5 tires)Both axles are originals (although rebuilt) Dana 44 rear, Dana 25 front. The transmission (with SBC conversion) is a T-90 mated to a Dana 18 twin stick transfer case with a Borg-Warner overdrive. The jeep comes with a Ramsey 8000lb PTO winch with all necessary linkages and hardware to connect to the Dana 18 transfer case. I have a 4.3L TBI V6 engine with complete wiring harness from a 1991 Chevy S10 that I intended to install in the jeep. The engine came from a running truck with120K on the odometer. It needs a freshening but runs strong with no issues. Also included are several misc. parts that I have collected including coolant overflow containers, SBC serpentine brackets, spare (new) alternator, seats from a 80s vintage Blazer with neoprene seat covers (that I intended to use in the Jeep), and many others. I am willing to assist with relocation of the project within 150 miles of 13676 if you pay expenses up front. If you are interested in my help to deliver we must discuss prior to auction close. A car hauler and full size pickup bed will fit everything. Please e-mail with questions or to setup a time to inspect the Jeep. Starting bid is what I have into it in new parts only. No reserve. Deposit of $250 due via PayPal at the end of the auction. Remainder due within 7 days.
