Vehicle Detail

For sale here is the final project ATV of 2012 for my company, Creative Product Designs. Over the last few months, the following machines have found happy new homes: Kawasaki Prairie 360 4WD- 26" Bearclaws, ITP Wheels, Factory Red Plastic Conversion HMF Pipe, Hella LightingPolaris Scrambler 400 2WD- HPD Trail Package and so much more. This one was a real screamer and a long, yet complete restorationKawasaki Brute Force 700 4WD- True Two Seater, Muzzy Big Bore, Muzzy Exhaust, and too many mods to list here including a plowHonda 750 Magna- Bike was dropped hard on the left side. I restored everything from the tank to the pipes Each of these bikes was a no stone unturned modification with hardly a scratch to be seen. My goal is simple- better than new at a reasonable price. I take the time to find a quality used machine with largely cosmetic difficulty. I then take everything apart down to the frame and rebuild according to spec, making improvements along the way depending on the weak spots of the unit. In the case of this 2008 Honda TRX700XX, it started off in my garage with the usual: Bent rims, shot tires, cracked plastic, rusty shocks and a bent grab bar. The motor however, was strong and the frame was perfect. Before tear down, I spent two weeks riding this one off beast from Honda and found some things I loved, and some that I hated. The machine handles, rides and steers like a dream. The four wheel independent suspension combined with the Honda legendary suspension tuning made for a ride that is as comfortable as a Polaris Sportsman but steers like a 450 series. Truly remarkable, it must have taken many hours fine tuning the setup so hats off to Honda. The down side: Power delivery that tapered off at higher rpms abruptly and a clutch that required high rpms to keep engaged. The clutch, without a doubt, was a major sore spot. I stalled on hills and other compromising areas and was ready to throw the towel in on this build due to it. After some research to ensure it wasn't just an isolated problem, I found that these bikes all suffer from this issue. So now what? Well, I always loved the clutch setup on my daughters Honda 250EX. The SportClutch allows you to either use the clutch, or not, without stalling. It's essentially a Rekluse style autoclutch whereby the rpms engage the clutch, not your left hand. So how could I make it fit and would it handle the power output of the mighty 700? A little more research and I found a company named EFM who produces rpm engaging clutchs for Harleys. I contacted them and they would be willing to mill a new unit for me if I sent in the entire clutch assembly. Deal! I ordered all new clutch plates and bearings, disassembled everything and shipped it off. Two weeks later the auto clutch was installed. Simple to use and simpler in premise and operation, this unit is a dream. Billet aluminum cut on a CNC machine and tailored to the Honda motor. Absolute perfection and the best clutch setup I've done bar none. I've never been a fan of belt drive transmissions and for me, this one is spot on. Solid gear shifting with no stall and I can still power clutch when I want to. Now, the power delivery problem. I turned to EHS Racing. They offer a package called "The Big Three" which combines a complete Barker exhaust, EHS Airbox and an EHS fuel injection controller. These three units in tandem transformed the bike. It's an absolute animal throughout the rpm range and just keeps pulling. This is without a doubt the fastest build yet for me and I'm not sure I'd ever want to go faster on an ATV. Stable and ferocious, this thing is lights out. As for the rest of the changes, they're all visual: New Maier plastics, ASV Clutch Perch, TrailTech Meter, PRM Grab Bar, Honda 400EX Tool Box, (4) New Honda TRX700XX Shocks with Outerwears, ITP Rims, Kenda Tires, Bombardier DS650 Front Fenders (no dirt on you!), Honda Racing Complete Skidplate Package (Bumper, A-Arm Skids, Underbelly), Steering Stabilizer. Maintenance wise, all my bikes get new plug(s), valve adjustment, oil/filter, brakes (pad/rotor/fluid), air filter and coolant. This bike needs nothing, looks dealer showroom ready and is even better in person. Check my feedback and bid with confidence, you won't be disappointed!
