Up for auction is a 1929 Ford Model A. The odometer reads 26,258, though with cars of this era there is no guarantee that the mileage has not simply rolled over. The car is very solid both in the body and mechanically. It has had a 12 volt conversion and starts up reliably. It has been kept in a garage by its current owner and is rust-free aside from some small spots on the rear chrome fenders (see picture). There are a couple of projects that would need to be done to get this car in tip-top shape. The driver side headlight lens is cracked, as shown in the photo, and the lights are inoperable, presumably needing to be rewired. The horn works, but has been rewired to a button on the steering column. The vacuum windshield-wiper system is also inoperative and needs to be replaced. Finally, the rubber window molding is decayed and needs to be replaced, and the roof may need to be resealed to properly water seal the vehicle. Aside from some very minor scuffs/chips in the paint on the driver’s side siderunner, the car is otherwise in great condition. The interior has been redone and all upholstery is clean and tightly fitting. All tires still have good tread and are in good condition. This car is ready to go for just a fun thing to putter around in on a Sunday, and with a few repairs could be brought to an excellent condition.
