Vehicle Detail
This is an absolutely beautiful 1970 El Camino SS....Factory equipped with 454 engine, working cowl induction, and Muncie 4-speed transmission. It has less than 100 miles on a complete restoration. Here's the history of the car since I've owned it: I bought this car from an older gentleman in Arizona. He purchased it in 1987 from the origional owner. It is an origional, rust free Arizona car, titled in Arizona. It is without doubt the most rust free 60's/70's classic car I have ever seen. The car was stored for about 23 years inside a garage, during which time the previous owner accumulated parts for the restoration (he wrapped them in newspaper so I was able to determine when, and what order the parts were purchased by looking at the dates of the newspapers). I took the car to a very reputable shop where they disassembled the car, painted the undercarriage, etc., and reassembled the car with the new parts. Attention was paid to every detail. The engine has new pistons, rings, bearings, oil pump, timing set, heads, carburetor, waterpump, alternator, etc., etc., New radiator, brake booster, on and on..... The whole car is new. Muncie transmission was rebuilt, new rear-end, all new brakes and lines, new u-joints, new tires, complete new wiring harness front to rear, new shocks, new front end bushings, etc., etc. etc. Everything is new. It's like a new car. Then had it painted. Can't remember what kind of paint they used, but it was $400 a quart. Clear was more than that. Body and paint have absolutely no ripples, flaws, etc. All body lines match perfectly. It's like looking at a black mirror. All brand new chrome....bumpers, grill, headlight buckets, etc. All new emblems and badges. Has funtioning factory equipped cowl induction. Interior is all new, as well.....new seat covers, carpets, kick panels, door panels, dash, headliner, etc. Like I said, this car is like a brand new car. The bed is perfectly straight. So is the tailgate. This is one of the straightest cars you'll ever find. I went to every expense to make this car a show piece. It's gorgeous. Everywhere I park it, it draws a crowd. It's fun to drive....very throaty, and very quick. It doesn't have a lot of extras....this car was built to just go fast. And the picture's I'm posting don't do it justice. For instance.....I have a 1972 Ferrari Daytona. Completely restored. As nice as this El Camino. And a Daytona is a real eye-ball car. But this El Camino gets at least twice as many looks, waves, thumbs up, etc., as the Daytona. It just has the look. There are only two things it is in need of: The windshield has a small crack in it. $140 installed. And the window felts that line the roll-up window channels could probably be replaced. You have to remove the door panels to change them, so I never got around to it. Also, the amp guage doesn't work. Orther than that, the car is perfect. It is absolutely GORGEOUS! I have the reserve set fairly low, so I think the car will sell. Please only bid if you intend to buy. We have near 100% positive feedback.....189 positive, and one negative. The negative was from some clown we sold a boat to a few months ago. He saw another ad that he accused me of copying, so left me negative. Well, the other ad he was referring to was the same ad, for the same boat, that didn't sell the first time because of a non-paying bidder. So I relisted it, and he bought it. Then whined. At any rate, you can bid with confidence....we have an excellent reputation on Ebay. There is a $1000 deposit due within 48 hours of end of auction, and the balance due within 5 days of end of auction. Thank you for viewing our listing, Good Luck, and Happy Bidding!
