Up for sale is my 1973 Dodge Dart Sport 340 "3 Speed" 1 of ONLY 1004 built in this drivetrain combo! This is a factory TX9 BLACK car to boot, these Darts are the next up an coming cars in the Mopar world and this would be a very desirable Mopar once fully restored. 1973 was the last of the 340 cars and the first year for the Dart Sport. When I found this car it had been sitting for years it last shows inspected in 2001. The original 340 had been pulled for a rebuild but they had installed a 318 in its place along with the original 3 speed manual trans. I have the original 340 for the car and of course it comes with the purchase of the car, it has already beed partially disasembled so I can ship it in the trunk if you plan to have the car shipped. I also have a A-Body 4-speed trans that will come with the car as well if you want to switch it to a four speed and save the original 3 speed trans. I have done a bunch of work to the car since I purchased it and have spent thousands to make it drivable again. I am sure I am probably forgetting something but you can see just how much money was sunk into this car. The car now runs and drives the motor has some type of cam in it it sounds good. I have driven the car around my neighborhood, it is fast and seems strong but I have never left the neighborhood no long trips of any kind. The body of this car still wears most all of its original paint. It appears at one time the lower quarters behind the rear wheels were fixed and repainted but the rest of the car looks all original. The floors and frame looks real nice there are only a few small holes starting in the drivers footwell as you can see in the photos. The trunk floor is 3/4 solid but the pass side behind the rear wheel had a battery leaking in the trunk for years so it rusted the floor out in that corner. You will not need to do a trunk pan you can just fix that side. The interior is all original and shot from the sun it will need a complete interior. The windsheild is cracked but the rest of the glass is good. This is a great complete restoration project that will be worth stron money once completed. I love the fact that it is an original BLACK car most all of these Darts were GREEN I have a clear NC title in my name. International bidders take not that the south carolina docks are about an hour from me and the car can easily be transported there for international overseas shipment.
