This is a like new 2012 Chevy Cruze LT with a 1.4L engine. At 6,000 miles the vehicle was deemed salvaged by the insurance company due to a fresh water flood. The dealer I bought the Cruze from stated that water was never inside the vehicle. I purchased the vehicle with 6,700 miles on it in June of 2012. I have since replaced the transmission (7,500), body control module (14,000) & alternator (15,052). The interior of the Cruze is jet black and has several options including power windows, CD player, XM radio, AM/FM radio, remote lock/unlock/trunk, cruise control, etc. Recently, (at 14,000 miles) the battery light would appear sporadically in the vehicle information window. I took the vehicle to the Chevy dealership where they told me that the body control module needed replaced, once replaced the battery light would still sporadically appear in the vehicle information window. I then took the vehicle back to the dealership where they cleaned all of the connections to the body control module and replaced wires in an attempt to resolve the issue. The battery light continued to sporadically appear, so I took the vehicle back to the dealership where they deemed it needed a new alternator. The alternator was then replaced, but the battery light continues to sporadically appear. The battery light appears with a message displayed that says, ‘service battery charging system’ and ‘battery saver active’. The battery light appears when the voltage is around 11.5, when the voltage increases above 11.9 the battery light is not present. The car operates with no issues. The interior of the vehicle is close to immaculate. I commute 150 miles to work each day and have put several interstate miles on the car.
