Short and sweet and to the point on this one. SUPERB Silver "SE" version. Excellent, not perfect, condition, being it a former Mom-mobile. The car REEKS proper Volvo dealer service. Expect many many miles to come! Body is an easy 8 out of 10. Easily made into a 9 if you decide to have it professionally detailed and buffed, etc. Minor scratches to be found. Front and rear bumper covers have their scuffs, but no damages or cracks or holes. ABSOLUTELY ZERO rust to been seen and only and handfull of dings with no dents. I'm no bodyman, but I don't see any signs of any major bodywork or repaints. Body is nice and straight considering it's mileage and age. Nothing large enough to point out. Matching GoodYear RS-As at every corner are very recent with 80%+ tread left riding on clean undamaged vibration free rims. Only one rim shows some older brake dust stains from prior neglect. That said, the Volvo Dealer issued front and rear brakes are also very recent and will last for a long time. A close peek above and you will notice the machined marks in the rotors with hardly any surface rust on the exposed areas. Volvo is stamped on the brake pads. Centercap is missing on the left rear wheel. Very easy to replace and I will if I have an extra in my parts stash. Interior has definitely seen better days. Easy 7.5 out of 10 with only normal dry cracking of the leather and a few leftover stains here and there from years of child hauling! Again, a professional detail will up the interior to an 8 easily. Or just leave it and drive! Driver's bolster is minimally worn. No holes, cuts or tears in the leather. Carpet is clean. All power items work as they should, HEATED seats, power driver, cruise, power sliding sunroof, ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, ABS, Traction control, windows, mirrors, locks, AM/FM/CD/TAPE, winter mode transmission, info panel, etc. As you can see above and below, ALL the dummy lights illuminate upon startup with ONLY the "SRS" light staying on during run. I do NOT have the proper electronics to run codes or diagnose this. Typical for a Volvo to have a sensor fail, tho. Note, there is a little residue on the right side of the cluster lens. I didn't even try to get it off, but I'm sure it will with some effort. Beautiful cherry woodgrain accents. Unseen is the complete spare tire/jack setup under the rear floor panels. LOOKIE!!! The rear optional child BOOSTER seats are included with this car too!! No more luggin around your seat from car to car or forgetting one when you pick up the kids!! Just flip them up, strap the kids in! Only the base manual, one key and one working keyfob are included. Also is this nifty camera...for that unexpected accident, if needed. Here's my favorite part of the ad....the part where I get to brag how well kept this car is. How CLEAN the engine compartment is...free of shiney grease spray, clean enough to eat off of. Recent service shows SPOTLESS motor oil. A mere 20k miles ago at 125k (see Volvo tag below) note the recently replaced timing belt. Spark plugs were recently issued as well. As you may or may not be aware, the 99-up 70 series Volvos had transmission issues with the 5-speed versions. Not the blowing up type of issue but problematic "sticky" shifting. Why? Because dummies at Volvo (then) printed in the owner's manual, that the fluid was "lifetime" and non-servicable. Yeah right. Not smart. Sad part is, it's super easy to change. This car?? Never a problem. Transmission operates as it should. For worry free future, I went and changed the fluid, twice(with the proper Volvo trans fluid), and added my usual SeaFoam transmission treatment to ensure it's proper performance. The trans was due for a change and I took care of it for you! Preventative maintenance. I've logged about 200 miles on the car to ensure it's reliability. The recent battery is strong and starts the perfectly running engine. I cleaned the IAC pump (idle control) and the MAF meter. Checked the air filter, its clean. Vacuumed the airbox. ALL fluids are clean. Absolutely ZERO signs of any major oil or coolant leaks. No spots on my floor overnight. No overheating. Car drives straight and smooth with no suspension noises. CV boots/joints are clean. No unusual pulling or wandering. No vibrations even at 80mph! Brakes will throw you thru the dash, if needed.
